i didn't have a preorder so i waited at john lewis from 7am. the other people waiting were the furby buying type (though some did seem interested in the console). at 9am they let me in fist and i grabbed a lift that took me quickly up to the third floor only to find loads of people and a queue. apparently there's a side door :(
bought wiiplay for multiplayers and a bluetooth thingy to try out glovepie but it doesn't seem to be working.
thief 2 when you break a crate and it's full of spiders. i only had my sword so it was like fighting a headcrab with a crowbar only the aiming needed a bit more accuracy so i kept missing. it evoked the feeling of having a spider on you perfectly because i got really freaked out but then i calmed down when it was dead and i realised i wasn't hurt at all.
also some text based dos game at the bits where you have to explore and it turns into a roguelike. i was always too scared to leave the first room so consequently i always lost (no graphics quite like the imagination).
doom 2 never scared me but that's because i always knew the cheat. i did always need the bfg for the first imp though.
"Why the hell would any adult gamer want a damn wii. Better save up your money and get a PS3."
maybe because it has a frickin' ligtsaber for a controller or maybe because the high quality graphics don't show up on his less than $7000 tv. a ps3 (or his xbox 360) is wasted on him. he can't play dead rising for example because the text doesn't show properly.
