This doesn't seem like the best of ideas... "Netbook" has become a generic term and is not enforceable, I would say. They probably also don't meet other requirements for challenging the other entities over trademark infringement. Given that, Wikipedia says:

In this situation, the party receiving such a threat may seek from the Court, a declaratory judgment; also known as a declaratory ruling.

Maybe I've not been paying attention, but doesn't Starbucks already have free wifi? I kinda thought they started that whole free wifi trend. I'm not a coffee drinker so the only really "trendy" place I frequent is Panera (who does have wifi), so maybe I missed SB changing things up....
