The DS is such a fantastic RPG machine - because remember '2/3rds of every RPG is PR.' I wonder how the boss would feel about playin' some TierKreis one the job... hmmm.

everyone keeps saying that there isn't and ending... i thought they came out and said a few months ago that there was definately an ending and you ahve to work your way to the center of the galaxy to see it?

still haven't had a chance to pick it up (the fates have seen fit to make me wait - which is fine)

yeah, this is simply one of the most inspired game design decision (rpg + bejewelled = genius) and an amazing "on the go" game... i have lost days to this game and still evangelize it to all i can.

in fact, i think i am going to pop it in now and see if i can keep those damned roads clear so my cities don't revolt!

seriously though, if anything, Spore is a game more about intelligent design than evolution.
If something is copied, with variation and selection, it MUST evolve.
Spore is based on design and decision making in the variation step (sort of a type of selection, but quite a different variation system).
anyway, i'm just in an existential crisis right now because i have been waiting years for this, and it is out, and i don't have it yet because i am poor :(

The controls seem very similar to MPH, which really comes into its own on the DS Phat with the thumbstrap adapter...
if i wasn't completely broke i'd probably pick this one up. sigh.

I think the best part about the comparison from censored to uncensored is the attention to take out the racially uncooth examples but to not take any care to the continual ragging on women.

ok, don't get me wrong, this game looks promising, and it is nice to have this style game making its way to a PC... however, it is a daunting challenge to make a greek mythos action game post God of War... and try as they may to differentiate this, one can't help but feel a little bit of "seen it" smugness about it.
But the multiple active characters and direct story line following of jason is cool, maybe we'll get some medea action too :) (but for now their "take" on medusa is pretty much Eurylae from GOWII mixed with the Hydra from the beginning of GOW...

2d on touch screen, top down GTA2 style. top screen is 3d representation. when you press the trigger to enter a shooting modethe bottom screen switches to a targeting view (like for sniper rifles and such) or just behind the shoulder.
