@A Sandwich Why would they spend time and money on developing a sequel to a game when they can just re-release the original and make millions for almost no investment? Honestly, the only people who should be buying this game are those who haven't played it ever before and are too dumb to figure out emulators. People need to stop giving square money for old games. Otherwise they will never actually get off their duffs and make the games they should be. Kingdom Heart 3, Chrono Trigger the 3rd, some new interesting IP like The World Ends With You, Etc. So yes, everyone please put down your wallets and DO NOT purchase this game for the 3rd of 4th time. Let Square know that you're not handing them one red cent until they make something new. Then maybe they will grace us with something actually worth giving them money fore. Because 20 year old game with the highest nostalgia factor possible is not it.
