Mechs meet hex in MechWarrior Tactics screens

This TOTALLY reminds me of a game on the old AMIGA computer called MechWarrior (if I recall correctly...) I spend tons of hours on that. Configing heavy mechs with medium lasers, heat sinks and twin arm mounted AC20! LOL

This has some serious "time suck" potential!

I *just* bought the ZS7 two days ago. I really haven't put it through it's paces yet but I like it so far. No touch screen but at a glance a similar camera.

ASUS Eee PC 1215N with NVIDIA Ion and dual-core Atom D525 is a netbook powerhouse

I agree. To me, a "Netbook" is a 10" computer to travel with. This is a Laptop.

What I really want is something with these specs but in a 10" unit. Something that I can travel with and lock in the hotel room safe easily. Some of these "safes" are barely bigger than an old school cash box and anything bigger than a 10" Netbook will not fit.

Eurocom rolls out workstation-class X8100 Leopard laptop

@NoOneSpecific

It is pretty though. You have a typical SONY power button, similar LED lights to my current Asus machine, a gorgeous screen, but the keyboard looks very Alienware.

Pretty piecemeal I hope it holds up.

The scariest part of this isn't the weight, although I'll need to hit the gym more than the LAN-party, is the PRICE!!

I played with the configuration and tricked out it's over $7500 Cdn. For that sort of coin a desktop would be far cheaper. I could maybe even hire some guy to lift it with the savings!
