Fallout: New Vegas coming to consoles next year

Apr 20th 2009 12:46PM (Joystiq)
Moron needs spelling skills.
And where does it say that it's not dlc or a hard copy game?

All they say here is that its a "non-numbered expansion."

Thanks for reminding me why I hardly ever come here anymore: mostly populated by dbag fanboys who probably work at gamestop if they're old enough to work.

Fallout: New Vegas coming to consoles next year

Apr 20th 2009 10:05AM (Joystiq)
What?
This is going to be on the PS3?

I hope it's better than the crappy little quests they've been adding so far; more like Shivering Isles.

So why id this not a 360 exclusive? Can MS not shovel them loads of cash in this kind of economy to keep further expansions exclusive.

And what about GTA and Burnout? Are they going to keep polishing their respective turds with DLC indefinitely, or are they eventually going to announce a new game? Fallout 3 came out in the Fall and the next (or what appears to be a significant expansion) is already announced, GTA4 and Burnout Paradise came out over a year ago.

Sony asking if God of War III CE should include first two games

I would want to see this done.

I played the first one to death but GOW2 is the only thing that doesn't work in my ps2 for some reason.

I wish I was invited to vote.

Burnout Paradise teases 'Cops and Robbers'

Apr 16th 2009 11:42AM (Joystiq)
Well, it looks a lot better than most of the crap they've been selling as DLC (hell, it looks better than most of the crap in the game period) but I'm still not buying it.
I'm not buying anything Burnout until they bring back crash junctions.

However, I am kind of glad to at least see a slow down of this once grand franchise's decline.

SCEA registers trademarks for 'Starhawk' and 'Dominion'

Apr 15th 2009 10:00AM (Joystiq)
Don't pass up on Warhawk just because you got there late. I did (I also usually play shooters on the PC: extra handicap) but I soon found that there are all sorts of skill types on there constantly and you can search within rankings to find others who are as (in)experienced as you.
Getting it late is no reason for missing one of the best games on the ps3.

If the same guys are working on Starhawk, I'm there. It would be a bummer if it was just warhawk on other planets: though some new weapons/missiles would be cool. I hope they build on what they have now and add massive moving battlefields like space cruisers (God of War3ish) and giant asteroids (mario galaxyish).

Netflix job posting hints at movie streaming for other consoles

Really?

MS didn't pay loads of money to make that a 360 exclusive? That probably moved more units than the exclusive DLC they apparently paid a lot for.

Katamari Tribute features four adjustable visual filters

Apr 13th 2009 10:18AM (Joystiq Playstation)
Katamari Damacy was one of my reasons to get a ps2, this would have to be tragically bad for me to skip. Like Me My Katamari bad.

PSN Thursday: Rag Dolls flock around with sheep

Apr 10th 2009 9:51AM (Joystiq)
Flock's $15?!
I'm checking out the demo but I better be floored if they expect me to pay $15. I doubt I will be. It wouldn't be the first psn game I waited for the drop to $5.

Japanese gamer breaks disc, burns magazine article over Vesperia PS3 port

Hey.
I would be pissed too if I was tricked into buying a 360.

Capcom 'thinking' Lost Planet 2 on PS3, not developing

Apr 9th 2009 1:38PM (Joystiq)
Back to Eric's point about the DLC being bought up:

First of all, it all seems a bit overpriced for what it is (I'm talking about Fallout 3 and especially GTA which is still a lame bare bones GTA after the dlc) and

Second of all, if MS wanted to shovel loads of money to developers for exclusive DLC it's their own stupid fault and it's going to bight them in the ass in the end. I don't know anyone who bought a 360 because of exclusive DLC. To tell you the truth, most of the people I know who have a 360 are either kids who didn't want to wait and see what the competition made (terrible if MS really pushed it onto shelves knowing about the rrod; shows that they can make electronic bricks sell if theirs is the first) and the others are guys with sdtvs who didn't want to spend more than 200 on a machine and they don't even subscribe to online much less buy dlc.

In short the kind of gamers who buy DLC are the same kind of gamers who buy the first next-gen machine that hits the shelves so if they did pay tons for exclusive dlc, it was money wasted.

That said, after playing much of the DLC for Fallout 3 and the pack for GTA, you're not missing much.
