I rented Enslaved because I loved Ninja Theory's Heavenly Sword and also really enjoyed the Enslaved demo. After I played through it I was wishing I would have bought it! Great story, amazing facial animation and a lot of fun (even despite the somewhat hand-holding gameplay).
I figured someone would bring that up, and that's a good point, but what I mean is the way you could import the majority of RB 1 tracks into RB 2 and since the release of RB 2 they have consistantly provided a quality selection of songs every week instead of releasing $60.00 retail discs. RB 2 has been out for 2 years now and is still my music game of choice because all the great tracks that I like to play have been mainly chosen by me by purchasing them off the amazing RB Store and I can have access to all of them through one disc.
I would love for more developers to take this approach of seeing their games as more of a "platform" than just a product that needs a sequel cranked out every 1 or 2 years. I think Harmonix sort of led the charge with Rock Band and I applaud both them and Media Molecule for it.
I may be the minority here but does anyone else feel like the military shooter genre could use a little bit of a rest? Don't bet me wrong, this is my favorite game genre but after playing Op Flash: Dragon Rising and with MW 2 just around the corner, I can't imagine I will need another military shooter in the near future. This is not trolling (I loved the first BC), just a topic for discussion.
Although I disagree with you that R&C had groan-worthy humor I can kind of sympathize. I thought Brutal Legend had some of the lamest humor I had ever heard and then started reading reviews to see if I was alone and come to find out... I most definitely was. I literally never lauged one time during that game while everyone else thought it was hilarious. I don't know, I guess we are just proof of "different strokes for different folks". But Qwark's line, "you win again technology..." had me cracking up. Some of it falls flat but I thought overall it was well written.
I agree, there is absolutely no way these people cannot know who Taylor Swift is. And to the other responders, she is not from the Disney channel. She was discovered from the songs she had on her Myspace. And she is filthy rich and seems like a genuinly good person despite how "uncool" you may think it is to acknowledge her existence.
It looked really stiff in cut scenes but the in-game stuff looks incredible!
Is it just me, and maybe I'm a little late to the party here, or did Will sound a lot like Nathan Drake from Uncharted? Is Nolan North doing the voicework for Will?!
