You do realize that you DON'T have to buy it don't you? They are no taking any more money from you then you are willing to give them for updated tech.

bethel03 is right, why did he get ranked low? Our dollar is extremely weak because of the spending problem.

I completely agree VA. People should just live their own life and stop bitching about other people's choices. It is not the companies fault - it is the consumers. So if they get diabetes it is their problem - not coca colas.

GPS-equipped turtle runs into reefer farm, gets high-fives from police

My argument is that your body is your own and you should be able to do anything you want to you. It is called liberty. This is what America was founded on. Oh you haven't heard about the CIA shipping in drugs and then arresting the idiots that use them? How come this 'war on drugs' leads to more drugs? I don't even do drugs. I just believe in liberty and freedom - something this country used to stand for.

It is pretty sad that the citizens of the world have found it appropriate to let the government tell them what they can and cannot put into their own bodies... especially something as natural as hemp. I find it especially funny in the United States "the home of the free" it should now read "home of the slaves"

Wow, I can't believe how far we have fallen. America is dead.

As John Adams said: "Liberty once lost is lost forever"

Ben Franklin said: "Those who would trade liberty for security deserve neither and lose both"

and moronic Bob of engadget says: "1984 here we come, I hate freedom and want to live in a tyrannical society where I am spied on because I'm so good. I love my government."

And yeah the 4th and 10th admendement, that document is incredible, too bad we don't follow it anymore because of a bob-like public that hate liberty and freedom.

You're absolutely correct. And you should be alarmed over the patriot act, the john warner defense authorization act, the military commissions act etc. That is what a true American is. They care about freedom and liberty and you should never give up your liberty for security because you end up losing both. I cannot believe these people on the message boards saying "don't worry about the Patriot act they don't care about spying on you. What about in Britain with all the cameras? Of course the government wiretaps citizens phones - that is even in public memos. So if the 'terrorists' actually hate us for our freedom our government is going to take away all of our freedom? Something doesn't make sense. I am glad there are people mad as hell about this - they should be! These same people in Nazi Germany would be the same way with the enabling act "don't worry they don't want to spy on you" ... yeah right.

Ex-Samsung boss fined $109 million for tax evasion, collar too white for jail

Jul 16th 2008 3:51PM (Engadget)
Why should that man be behind jail rock? Did he commit a crime? What is the income tax anyways but forced coercive charity. I know this is South Korea but did you know that by the United States constitution the income tax is illegal because it is not apportioned? The amendment was not even ratified. Think about it, he wasn't violent, he didn't steal from anyone, why should he go to jail? These tax laws are ridiculous, that tax doesn't even pay for roads or hospitals, it pays for interest on national and domestic debt. I cannot believe people think it is a crime not to pay taxes and actually think it deserves jail time.
