Jul 9th 2010 10:17AM (Engadget)Also, most of the DLP systems in the field aren't displaying the image at full resolution, the image is scaled down because all but the newest DLP chips can't handle the bandwidth needed to display 144 frames per second (they display each frame L&R 3 times).

Jul 9th 2010 10:08AM (Engadget)The Sony display 2 2K resolution images on the 4K chip at the same time and has a special lens that splits that into 2 seperate outputs each with it's own polarizer, they are then aligned so the images line up on top of each other one the screen.
