Battlefield 3 may not come to Steam, according to EA's list

@kgoo867: 21MB and 00% cpu usage while playing F1 2010 in a window.

Talk about a destroyer of resources.

@kgoo867: If you notice a drop in performance because of those two relatively light weight applications running, then I think you have other problems to contend with, such as a severe lack of resources.

Get better hardware.

Bose intros IE2, MIE2 and MIE2i in-ear headphones, only charges an arm for 'em

@naterecording: The simple fact that these are easy to pull out of your ear and do not seal as well compared to other actual in-ear headphones from Ultimate Ears, Shure, or Etymotic means that they are at an instant disadvantage.

Pair that with the fact that the audio performance from equal-priced products from the above 3 surpass these Bose units means no ear needs to touch these to know that they are not good.

And jokes are often grounded in reality.

@s2welee You apparently didn't look hard enough. The options that are available at the 301 price range that destroy it in audio performance are numerous.

A claim that the Bose 301 are one of the best sounding speakers out there for the money is a claim that can only be made with a straight face by a Bose owner.

@rollocla I hope you did mean 35,000 as the bit rate because my custom built media centre nas with an Ion handles full blu-rays without issue, and that only cost me 300 to put together, minus all the hard drives I've accumulated over time.

Exclusive: Upcoming Apple TV loses 1080p playback, gains apps... and will be renamed iTV

Aug 11th 2010 9:49PM (Engadget)
@pk de cville: Read: This isn't Apple's fault.

A 60 dollar Asus OPlay can play 1080p Blu-Ray ISO's for crying out loud. And at bit rates that would make the quality of the video out from this device comical, its kind of sad that they are not even trying to up the quality.

I know the resolution isn't everything, but streaming content isn't going to have high bit rates as it is, so you are left with stored content to get high quality content. If this thing has a cap on its output, then you would be a fool to get it.
