@Domino2097 The Japanese Dreamcast had an orange symbol, and as it's a Japanese system then that's clearly the colour Sega always intended to use. The colour was I believe changed in Europe due to it being similar to an orange swirl used by another company.
Whatever the colour though, the dreamcast was the best console of all time.
@Courtney In the UK when a company runs out of money and calls in the administrators everything is instantly locked down and all staff are made redundant. There then follows a very lengthy process where anything of value is sold and the money given to the banks and government. If anything remains then regular customers and employees might get something, but that usually doesn't happen.
@Raiki Why on earth would you want any developer to shut down? People actually work at these companies you know, they have bills to pay, mouths to feed. If you don't like the games from a certain dev, don't buy them, but wishing closure upon them is infantile and moronic.
This is a very pretty game, but to play it's pretty standard stuff. Cave eat stuff like this for breakfast.
Also, why the bizarrely narrow screen ratio? And what's with the Hungarian voice over which pops up every few minutes? It soon became highly annoying, and just seemed like a pointless gimmick.
@GeraltRivia The next generation iPad (next year's model, not the one that's just been announced) will be as powerful as a 360/PS3. The one after that will be significantly more powerful, and so on.
A yearly cycle of hardware updates and the furious pace of mobile GPU and CPU development means that unless MS and Sony go nuts with the specs for their next gen systems, they'll be eclipsed by Apple and the other mobile makers within a few years.
Sooner or later Apple will put out an Apple TV with high end mobile graphics and an app store. Adding a physical game controller to such a device wouldn't be a big deal, and then all of a sudden Apple are a major force in living room gaming. Whether or not they ever do that, remains to be seen of course.
So the Xbox marketplace will continue to be flooded with Rockband DLC. That must please other developers trying to surface their DLC as much as it pleases me trying to find it.
I wish there was an option in the dash to show only DLC for games I actually own. Or a way to hide DLC from any game which has more than 5 items.
I played the demo and thought 'hmm.... maybe', so bought the full thing. Mistake. The full game is best described as bland and generic. There's nothing special about it, nothing to hook me.
Visually it's really weak, looking like a last gen game in many places, the cut scenes are embarrassingly terrible, the story is the most generic thing possible, and the gameplay is just the standard mass of fetch quests and monster killing. After Skyrim I guess I was expecting too much, but this average at best. It also completely lacks any atmosphere or feeling of actually being a believable world. Maybe it's the awful cartoony style of the visuals.
The demo is the best part of the game, at least from what I've seen so far btw.
