Epicenter Studios planning to fight fire with... Wii

Jun 23rd 2007 12:43AM (Joystiq)
omg there was a firefighter game for the snes. I hope it's a remake of the original. In the original you controlled a team of firefighters much like rainbow six.

Mac 101: Things NOT to do on your Mac

May 16th 2007 8:40AM (TUAW.com)
- Burning CD's on a portable without the power adapter. if the batt dies and you charge and turn on your notebook the incomplete cd-r will take a year and a half to never mount. and is a butt to eject.

- i dare you to ctr+opt+command+8 right now!

- never paste a long ass story in stickies (esp dashboard)

Fake NiGHTS 2 trailer

Dec 16th 2006 4:55PM (Joystiq)
but with the wii you could use the nunchuck to do 360's and the wiimote to do barrel rolls and such. This would actually be the third NiGHTS game to be released. A modified version of NiGHTS was released. It was called "Christmas NiGHTS into dreams". It was a limited edition of Nights modified into a xmas themed game. It's one of my prized possessions.

TV remotes demystify Wii sensor bar

Nov 21st 2006 4:56PM (Joystiq)
it's amazing how simple the wii's technology is. i'm surprised the virtualboy didn't use a sensor bar.

here's a simple hack.
you can use one of those ir-to-rf converters from radioshack and play the wii from any room in the house. Pointless cuz u cant see the tv, but possible

Kensington brings that portable keyboard feel to your desktop

Apr 6th 2006 1:24PM (TUAW.com)
sorta old news for me. had two keyboards for over a year. one for my ibook, the other for my windows box.

love it, love it, love it.

very durable. i throw it around everywhere. and the cable is long, so that it will never dangerously dangle from the usb port

Convert WMA files into something useful

Apr 3rd 2006 12:38PM (TUAW.com)
i bought this program a few weeks ago. does a great job. the sound quality will never be better than the wma/v file. the settings i use is 192 mp4a. it seems to be at best at these settings

WARNING, this program changes my default app settings for windows media files. i ended up deleting it from my HD and just work with it through the dmg when i needed it. this program does not work well with opera. even after i changed mime settings using 'default apps' and changing the settings in opera, wma/v files still open with easyWMA. drove me nuts

Casio Exilim EX-S600 reviewed

Mar 23rd 2006 8:08AM (Engadget)
i love this camera. i use it every day. i got it for christmas and only had to charge it about 5 times. battery life is awesome. You can double the battery life by using the 'high sensitivity' BS mode instead of using flash.

every pic on my site uses the exilim ex-s600
http://www.4pp13.com
though almost all pics are resized and recompressed (using iphoto) cuz each pic on the ex-s600 is 1.5megs (at highest rez)

engadget, u forgot to mention the tivo-like mpeg4 recording functions. this camera will start recording 8 seconds before you hit the record button and you can set it to record 8 seconds further after you stop the recorder.

i take it to basketball games to record movies. all i have to do is hit the shutter after the ball goes in the net and i capture the whole thing
