I love that techy engineering stuff.... but wait a sec

the aluminum door skin saving 50 pounds a door?

I've replaced a door on my VW GTI and it wasn't 50 pounds complete
with mirror, trim and glass.

Maybe the weight savings are from other parts INCLUDING the skin because I just can't imagine the door skin weighing so much that you can save 50 L-B's buy using aluminum instead.

.... does that sound right to anyone else?

they should remove the "There is no substitute" from the end of their clip.

the folks at Porsche would appreciate it.

Video: Dodge Durango catches fire during D.C. Cherry Blossom Parade while on float-pulling duty

Hey Mike... c'mon buddy. you know there are no hills that are gonna test that Dodge on a parade route.... or am I wrong about that. I seriously doubt it but who knows.

....you're the local, have you been to a parade and thought... that seems like a steep hill for the band and the horses and the parade floats.

it really is a mystery how that SUV caught on fire from what seems like it should have been light duty.

hat float didn't look large and there are no hills in DC or for that matter on a parade route. So I don't see the Durango being strained by creeping along with that thing in tow.

What a rough day for Dodge. You bet they're working on getting to the bottom of this quickly.

Porsche motors and running gear and running The Ring.

Kimi Raikkonen to run limited 2011 schedule for Kyle Busch Motorsports

Apr 2nd 2011 5:13PM (Autoblog)
it's for the money right? But Kimi doesn't need it, so I wonder why bother...
maybe just curiosity....

I'll admit that Nascar isn't all drunk rednecks, but it has that reputation. And the racing is different, dare I say boring compared to ALMS courses but Nascar still draws lots of people=$$$.

.... is this an April fools joke? I just don't see why Kimi would go this route.
