iOS 4.2 SDK beta 3 available for download

Oct 13th 2010 3:42AM (TUAW.com)
Everyone is saying that the new beta comes with the new messages tones. I have seen the video of them on Gizmodo and yet my iPhone 3GS with beta 3 does NOT have those tones. I have the same generic tones as I've had since day one. I've done the update option and restore option to update the iPhone and still no tones. Any ideas why I didn't get the new tones?

Tweet Library for iPad makes Twitter useful

Oct 7th 2010 10:03AM (TUAW.com)
Is there any way to view a friend's posts? I tried tapping on their name but I couldn't see the option. You can search for post from them but if it's a private account you're out of luck. And there needs to be a setting where you can set how many posts load up when you start the app. There seems to be basic features missing. Add some basic stuff and the app would be worth it for the archiving feature.

Adidas kills $10M iAd deal

Oct 4th 2010 1:37PM (TUAW.com)
I have seen 2 iAds on my iPhone. The 1st was the Nissan Leaf one that Jobs showed off at the Apple event. The 2nd was a weird one. It was for some kind of space tourism. It looked very unprofessional and looked fake to me.

Jobs just wants everything to look nice on his phone and given the success he has I can see why he'd be like that.

Pro HDR gets an update for iPhone and leaps ahead of the pack

Aug 19th 2010 9:37PM (TUAW.com)
I just bought this app on my iPhone 3GS and it is not working at all. The app opened the first time, took the 2 pictures and then got hung up on the processing part. I completely closed the app, reopened it and saw a black screen before it crashed. I turned my iPhone off & on and tried again. The app opened normally but it got hung up on the opening camera part and never went passed that. I know it only cost $1.99 but based on the article I expected better.

Blu-ray Review: G.I. Joe: The Movie

Jun 26th 2010 5:19PM (Cinematical)
Beast Machines was crap. Beast Wars to some is the best TF series. Personally I rank G1 as the best but that's mostly due to having grown up watching it.

I know you didn't like it but Beast Wars was anything but crap. It brought back many old school fans when it was revealed the planet was Earth and the Autobots & Decepticons were in stasis lock. The stories were much better than G1 and the stuff to do with Dinobot was some of the best for its genre.

Review: Toy Story 3 - Jeffrey's Take

Jun 19th 2010 11:02PM (Cinematical)
While I agree the writer could have written his review without giving much of the story away there are parts he left out and you may find enjoyment in those. I'd even go as far as to say he didn't give away the biggest thing in the movie that you referred to.

'Mortal Kombat' Sinks to New Lows for Its Crass Characters

Jun 10th 2010 1:09PM (Cinematical)
It has been confirmed by numerous sources (and by the director himself) that the short film was not about a new game but to show what the director would do in a new movie. In fact the studio behind the game JUST released a new trailer for the game.

The scene was a good start but definitely needs some polish and rewriting to get the movie right.

Koppelman And Levien On 'Rounders 2', 'Untouchables' Prequel, More

May 22nd 2010 4:01PM (Cinematical)
David Levien and Brian Koppelman are just before releasing the new film Solitary Man, which Koppelman wrote and the duo directed together.

What are they doing?? Sitting? Relaxing? Sleeping? Eating?

I think a word is missing after are.

To Sir With Love: Peter Jackson's Now an Actual Knight

Is he directing? I thought he was only producing and Guillermo Del Toro was directing. Has something changed?

Review: The Losers

Apr 24th 2010 6:24PM (Cinematical)
I liked this movie. It definitely had some fun scenes, mixing humor and action well.

SPOILER:

There were a few things that were questionable (a certain character is mad during the middle but the exact opposite later on despite the issue still being unresolved)

END SPOILER

Sadly the theatre was empty (you could count the number of people on 2 hands) so a sequel doesn't look to be coming. I'll have to look into the comic to see how things worked out.
