I only had one problem. My game froze not during the intro, but in the 2nd or 3rd mission where you drive the chick to her apartment. It froze solid along the way, except the radio kept playing. Required flipping the power switch to reboot. Worked without problem for hours afterward (besides online, of course)

Never had a PS3 game lock up like that.

Sorry. To clarify, the Elise chassis is almost entirely bonded -- this thing looks 99% rivet, 1% bonding.

Hey Autoblog, why do you say: "bonded aluminum extrusions"? Those look like rivets to me. The Elise is bonded and you see runoff from the glue without those holes. Looks much nicer.

Guys, the Fifth Amendment, like many of the others, died a long time ago. Breathalyzer refusal is an admission of guilt and carries the same punishment as the DUI itself -- including mandatory jail time -- in some states, though most just give an automatic and immediate 6-12 month license suspension. I'm shocked that so many people on Engadget fall for this fadish nonsense. You may be fine with mercury-filled, noisy, bad light flourescents, but you shouldn't be happy that the government is imposing your personal preferences on everyone else by force. Gadgets are usually not essential, perhaps they should be banned to prevent the earth from perishing? If it saves only one dolphin, isn't it worth it?

Lotus has too much pride to mandate a sissy gearbox for everyone. Let's just call it what it is, an AUTOMATIC that people can pretend is "F1 inspired" with 40ms gearchanges that nobody uses 'cause automatic mode is always engaged.

First, the Exige doesn't squeal its tires. That's what overweight muscle cars do. Maybe you'll get a bit of a chirp if you dump the clutch at 8000 rpm, but this car has more traction than torque.

Brits use miles per hour -- it's 150, as measured by vascar. The vanilla Boxster can do 159, and the S does 166 in UK trim (according to Porsche.com, a website always worth visiting).

The statement that it's "never safe" to drive 150 on public roads is undermined by the fact that this guy didn't hurt anyone or any thing. A quick top speed test on an EMPTY road with perfect conditions is not a big deal.
