May 10th 2010 8:37AM (Engadget)
i wonder how it will be if Sony decided to replace the keyboard with a touchscreen instead

Samsung i8910 HD runs 62 apps at once, multitaskers bow their heads

@JRKScope I think it is a personal preference. Some people like flashy things, some people like the functionality. The thing is, Symbian is a lightweight OS that requires only a skin-deep modification (UI). It does not requires a high end phone to run. If IPhone is a VW Golf, then Symbian probably the Toyota.

@Crp USB is not an app. A USB manager is. 62 is still more than 25 though. But, it is still pointless. I wont keep more than 10 apps to be opened at any one time... even on windows/linux.

@The Joker I wonder how many apps does symbian really have on the net. Its hard to quantify since there is no 1 stop center (read: monopoly) that supply them. plus, being a very flexible (read: robust) OS that supports C, C++, Java, Flash, Qt, Python, Perl makes it far too tedious to search them all.

Hands-on: Nintendo DSi XL

My kids love their DS Lite. When I show the DSi and DS LL to them, and asking them which one they like more, they point to DS LL without hesitation. Probably kids find it more appealing to have bigger screens. The only concern for me is the weight.

Nintendo DS2 to be announced this year, released not too long after?

here I am hoping that Nintendo would come out with something like MSI Dualscreen 7' UMPC (http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/08/msi-dualscreen-umpc-concept-had-us-at-dualscreen/ ). Or maybe that MSI DualScreen(DS) is the DS2 itself?

Nokia N900 quick hands-on

why are the resistive vs capacitive keeps getting the highlight? Nintendo DS got resistive screen as well, and it helps a lot so that more information can be put on screen and there wont be a mis-'select'. We all write using pen/pencil and type using keyboard. In my opinion, N900 provide the most natural way of input by giving a Pen (stylus) and a keyboard. Sharpness is not meant for fingers.

The only gripes i have abt it is the lack of Phone functions (MMS). I guess I should wait for the new communicator or buy the E90.
