Personally, I'm pretty stoked about this announcement. I've been getting into tactical RPGs recently, so the idea of merging a Pokemon game with this sort of gameplay has me excited.
@Vic Fontaine So would I, my friend. So would I...
Really, I hadn't played any of the games in the series until I got Sacred Stones as part of the Ambassador program. Man, I have sunk so many hours into that game! Who needs Skyrim?
@Liquidfingers I agree with the others here. I consider myself to be a "Nintendo diehard," but I eventually bought a 360 because I wanted to be able to play the games that these publishers weren't bringing to the Wii (this at the time included AC, Alan Wake, and Bioshock). Now, with the way the Wii U is looking, I can go back to only have a Nintendo system and get all the games I love. I went ahead and preordered AC 3 for now so I could get the metal case, but once the Wii U is available for preorder, there's a good chance I'll by it for that console instead...even if I have to wait for a little while.
I don't understand. I mean, this is really cool and all to get to see so much detail about them, but these aren't newly introduced. This was the first "Heavy Hitter" that was introduced, the Handyman. They even showed him in the reveal trailer...
@ItsameMatt03 Wow. The difference between these reviews is like night and day. It's interesting how two different reviews can play the same thing and get completely different experiences from it.
@lolkeits Yeah, this is my first handheld since the GBA, so I don't really have an opinion when it comes to the DS's launch. I will say, though, that I have been catching up on all of the DS games that I missed out on. The backwards compatibility was definitely a selling point for me!
@JustinCase Huh. I don't have a problem playing the DS games at the smaller resolution, personally. I mean, that's the resolution they were originally. In my opinion, just because the image doesn't fit the whole screen, doesn't mean it's a huge problem...it's just the way the technology works. I mean, I don't strech out or crop the video on old DVDs that I watch on my widescreen TV (though I know it is possible), so why would I do that with my 3DS?
