@omgitswes No. This looks like it will be a bit under the D5000. My guess the video quality will turn out to be garbage just like all Nikon cameras. It's only going to have 10mp resolution which honestly isn't that good. And my guess is that it won't go past 3200-6400 ISO which also isn't that good.

If you have the money to buy a D5000 at 700 dollars, you're better off scraping together a few extra bills and buying a Canon t2i.

It's better than fine. I'm seeing a lot of reviews that it all but matches up to the 5D Mark II's video recording, a camera that is being used to record professional video, like House.
