Developers should own the rights to IPs they create. That kind of deal will only become more common in the world of digital distribution (ahem, Steam). THQ is my favorite publisher and does treat developers very well but Respawn is smart to insist on this and its THQ's loss.

Then you will really be disappointed when I tell you they released a free map pack a month ago with 4 new maps from BF2. I had stopped playing but the new maps had me back in game and loving it again.
