It's not so much what I saw but what I heard. I used to work at summer camp way up in northern Ontario Canada. One night after a late shift in the store, I walked back to my cabin. I did not have a flashlight with me. It was pitch black. I could not see my hand in front of my face. I heard something walking beside me. I stopped. Said "who's there?". No answer. No sound. Was thinking I imagine it. I start walking again and again I hear foot steps beside me. I once again say "Hello? Who's there?". This time I hear a creepy snarl and some shuffling of bushes. Not wanting to see what it was I ran as fast I could to my cabin! I guess those nigh tvision goggles would have come in handy then.
