Answering the Age-Old Question: Who's the safe driver, man or woman?

Mar 30th 2010 8:25AM (Autoblog)
I can vouch for your comments. Except driving to work I always drive the car, her's or mine, anywhere we go. This study neglects that fact and doesnt take into consideration the amount of time spent behind the wheel for each gender. Also, if your lady is falling down drunk and you're both at the bar...guess who's driving home... Too many discrepancies in the data to make any sound conclusion based of the black and white statistics the researches gathered.

Review: 2010 Land Rover LR4 makes a better boxy SUV

Mar 22nd 2010 3:45PM (Autoblog)
As an avid Land Rover fan and past owner (hopeful future owner as well) I can say that the interior is a VAST improvement over the convoluted LR3 layout. I was in a buddies LR3 and it's just a mess...

Glad to see they are putting more power in there but LR seriously need to trim the weight. That's very portly at over 5800lbs for an SUV in this segment. A quick search shows most competitors right round 5000lbs which would obviously improve the MPG it currently receives.

Great looking car and the LR4 will never by "spry" due to the off-road gear it must contain (otherwise, it wouldn't be a Rover!) but I'm sure than can trim about 400lbs of excess fat off this hog to make it much more competent on and off the road.

And to think Toyota's reputation will return in....how many years has it been since Audi's "unintended acceleration" days?

one that's outside the range in terms of size but is a stellar machine, the Toshiba T135-S1309 or S1310. 13.3" screen and full size keyboard.

I picked one up the other day for a tick under $500 at Best Buy and it's very slick and light. Plus is has 4GB of ram, Dual-core CULV processor and Windows 7. Not a bad package for the price point.
