Sony PSP Go announced -- $249, no UMD

Jun 4th 2009 1:36AM (Engadget)
Wow ... PSP 2? I am thinking closer to PSP 1.5. What happened to a larger (touch) screen? And 16gb? For a gaming device, I don't think so. Especially one that relies on the HDD exclusively for playing games. What ever happened to Sony's innovation mentality? Well, I think that Sony just lost another PSP fan with this offering.

I mean really ... where is the WOW.

Microsoft hit with another class-action suit over scratched 360 discs

Jul 20th 2007 10:55AM (Engadget)
Well, you now see MS in action yet again ... I said it before to my friends hyped up about buying a Xbox360 ... MS was soo worried about beating Sony to the market that they really skipped over some vital R&D as we see with the overheating issues on the console, power supply failures and now the disc scratching ability which has developed into an inferior product. Unfortunately for MS, they did not include Nintendo in their list of viable competitors and now they are getting whomped on (As is Sony as well).

Now, for you 360 Fanboys, let me say that I have nothing against the Xbox360 as a unit other than the fact it was built by those Donkey Raping Sh*t Eaters over at MS that are known for their crappy software/hardware (Win98, ME and Vista anyone?). Now, If it was built by Apple, HP, AMD or any other reputable company that is known for their quality or product, I would feel less malice towards the console as a whole.

Riiiiiiiiiiidge Racer! Xbox 360 vs. PS3 screens

Yes ... umm Mr. Scott? I did not say Xbox360 Fanboy ... I said "a Xbox360 Fanboy". "A" would be the operative word in the last phrase. (Therefore notating that it could be any Xbox360 Fanboy in the world) If I said Xbox360 Fanboy changed it ... Then it would be a different story now. I am not accusing Joystiq or any member of the Weblogs, Inc. of foul play.

There now ... straightened out.

Riiiiiiiiiiidge Racer! Xbox 360 vs. PS3 screens

Nov 14th 2006 2:30PM (Joystiq)
Umm ... hate to be a bummer here but ... I have money on a Xbox360 Fanboy using a PC Game image of Ridge Racer 6, Switching the image to a PS2 image and calling it a PS3 image or something of that matter. I suspect foul play here. I have played both and I can see a notable difference between the two. (With PS3 graphics being the better of the two)

Now before I get Flamed for being a Sony Fanboy ... I would like to inform you all that I own all three brands of consoles, with no favorite between Microsoft and Sony ... and my preference is PC Gaming.

The Wii, in comic form

Apr 28th 2006 6:43PM (Joystiq)
Nintendo's new product: The Wii ... You have to be kidding me.

I do see the initial thought behind the name, unique, easy to remember & name+logo all in one thingy. But Wii? Couldn't Nintendo remember the old saying "Whats in a name ... Everything." How about the Zii or the Vii. Why Wii? I personally don't understand the marketing strategy behind this one.

I was hyped about the Revolution. I represented a new era in gaming ... Changing the way gaming is done. Showing a clear direction for the console. The next generation in gaming ... The Revolution!

I can see if this is a attention grabbing trick for Nintendo ... Get everyone talking & laughing then E3 comes and Bam!!! New name!!! Smart move. But if the name sticks, what is the point?

My final point is, "Where is Wii going?" Umm ... wii are going to the store to pickup a few things? Lets go and play with my new wii? Wii were tired & stoned so wii couldn't come up with a decent name? "Wii" easier for the Japanese to say than "Revolution"?

(To borrow Ebonic slang) Wii out!

POLL: What do you want to see from the PSP in 2006?

Jan 2nd 2006 11:33AM (Joystiq Playstation)

Definitely Burnable UMD's! Sony would then be able to compete with the ipod and other mp3 players because of 1.8 GB discs. It would be a huge step for Sony especially in sales. And for the concern of copyright infringement, put executable inhibitors on the discs ... that should solve the ISO ripping issues.
