Dec 6th 2006 4:31AM (Joystiq Playstation)The scaling issue for the old TVs seems to be addressed now with the newest 1.33 update.
After the update, my XMB's native resolution becomes 1080i (I set it as 720p before). When I load up resistance, the TV would switch the resolution to 720p.

Generally most anime's english dub are not meeting the standard. The English voice actors for anime sound like they are "reading" instead of "acting" sometimes. A voice that is suppose to sounded mature in Japanese would be dubbed with a childish voice in the English dub for no apparent reason. There are plenty of examples (a recent example would be Lacus from Gundam SEED...Gosh what did they do to her voice!).
Japanese animation studio are very serious about the voice they choose for each character. It's a serious business to them. Often, the voice acting was completed before the actual animation/drawing is even finished. The artist would adjust the animation/drawing to match the voice actor's emotion. The voices are the soul of the anime.
There are certain anime with excellent English dub too, but it's rare. If they are going to do English dub, then please also put the Japanese dub into the NA version of the game. I don't mind if they don't do an English dub at all. It even saves them money. They should either:
1.) Put English dub and Japanese dub with English subtitle option
2.) Japanese dub with English subtitle only.
Square Enix announces FPS for 360, codenamed 'Project Sylph'

Pac-Man, Gundam, and more at Xbox 360 press conference
Apr 6th 2006 3:35PM (Joystiq)I hope Zegapain will be good...I saw the video from Japan XBL yesterday at my friend's 360. It feels and looks nice Zone of the Enders. I hope Namco Bandai doesn't screw this one up. Please bring this to NA.
The Gundam FPS looks interesting. I am looking forward to the Tri-Ace title and the SquareEnix/GameArts title. Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Lost Planet, Dead Rising and 99 Nights will also be on my list.
If most of these games come to NA, definitely picking a 360 when the next price drop is here!

Feb 21st 2006 5:16AM (Engadget)http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks.php?dvdplayer=DVD-HD841&hits=50&Search=Search
I just bought the DVD-HD850 from local retailers after reading this news. HD850 is the newer model, stores here don't have HD841 anymore.
The hack for HD850 and HD841 are both very simple. I got the HD850 hack working in 10 minutes. No problem playing region 2 DVD at 1080i through component after applying the HDCP disable hack and multi-region hack. Thanks MPAA..for letting me knowing about this!
