Or how about the multimillion dollar development studio they have? I think the profits from Halo would have dried up by now if they had to foot that bill, don't you think??

You guys are unbeleivable. Of course it is a mutual benefit, but in reality, Microsoft is the driving force behind why Bungie went from a small time company, to one of the biggest and most influential players in their field.

Directors and movie stars don't know Halo becuase they played the game... they know Halo because Microsoft crammed it down their throats, and it just happened to taste good.

Did Bungie invent xbox live? Did bungie build an entire platform around online gaming? No. But they DID make it great... so its obvious that it is a relationship that works well, for mutual gain, both being equally important.

Microsoft is the reason Bungie can release 1 game every 3 years, and not go bankrupt.

why can't they make old games widescreen? is it that hard to re-tool the code? holy crap. I'm never buying a xbla game again that doesnt natively support widescreen.
