Would you buy a hydrogen-powered sedan in 2015 for $50,000?

May 9th 2010 2:41PM (Engadget)
There is also the higher performance alternative of using hydrogen in internal-combustion engines. I don't know much about it but I won't spend $50,000 on a car with an electric drivetrain (not powerful). So consider me a no.

Common sense would tell you that there is no problem. No other nations have issues and other devices never caused any problems.

Entelligence: Happy 10th birthday, Pocket PC

Apr 25th 2010 6:27PM (Engadget)
@doboy You have some great points but the iPod, RAZR, and iPhone don't come close in functionality with the Pocket PC. They were user-friendly at the expensive of countless features. Windows Phone 7 continues this trend. Too bad nobody tried to find a compromise or some way to keep functionality. Unlike Pocket PC, WP7 won't serve those countless companies or operate as a great PDA.

Entelligence: Happy 10th birthday, Pocket PC

Pocket PC, Windows CE, and WinMo/Windows Phone all have more functionality (especially in organization, office, and flexibility) than any other modern smartphones. I use a Touch Pro, and while it has HTC's (and XDA's by choice) add-ons, the OS is far more efficient at the core tasks of a PDA or smartphone and does all the multimedia and app stuff well too. I wish Microsoft would modernize Pocket PC/WinMo 6.5(.x) a bit so it could compete again. All it needs is decent App Store and some transitions/effects in the UI.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 VIP Map Pack 3 almost ready for deployment [update]

Make sure your consoles have adequate breathing space. Make sure they are not in a cabinet or enclosed. They will fry themselves.

JoyStats: Reaching Rank 50 in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 takes about 282 hours

Having a ridiculously high ranking system (but giving you all unlocks early) would allow for hardcore players to be more competitive. Just as long as the average players and newbs still get their unlocks in a logical time.

Schmidt says Chrome OS devices will be 'disposable,' priced like netbooks

Apr 20th 2010 8:56PM (Engadget)
By disposable, he probably means that none of your data will be on the device and everything will carry over to a new device.

@Almo Several of the pics on MacRumors' source (a website in Spanish) had a rounded top of the back panel while these pics are clearly squared off. MacRumors is wrong.
