Joystiq Poll: Most missed Xbox 360 back compat titles

Nov 30th 2007 4:17PM (Joystiq)
Ummm...I DID "keep my Xbox" for over 4 years, but by the time I finally had to get rid of it the DVD drive was so screwed up I was lucky if it played a game for 5 minutes before freezing up.

This is why I hate it when people say "what's the big deal about BC? Why don't you just keep the old consoles?" Well, because a) I don't really want a dozen video game consoles cluttering up my living room and b) I don't trust that I or anyone else available is going to have the know-how and/or the parts to keep them all running ad infinitum.

Oh wait, now Killzone has morphed into Beyond Good & Evil. Wish I knew that when I tried to vote down Killzone. This technology seems to be alpha at best :)

I'm confused. Where's Beyond Good & Evil? I tried to add it but it just added it to my "Your Ranking" list.

Xbox 360 gets new backwards compatibility update

OK, that was SUPPOSED to be a reply to Princess Skittles. The reply form even said, "replying to Princess Skittles" while I was writing it. Stoopid Joystiq.

Your list is very similar to mine, your royal highness. Mine also includes:

Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc
GUNVALKYRIE
Syberia (no, not Syberia II, the FIRST Syberia. I recently tried to choose Syberia as one of my favorite Xbox games for my Xbox Live profile, and it wasn't even on the list. Perhaps Microsoft now denies that this title ever existed.)

Once again, a major update has come and gone with not a single title from my list.

Sega planning to cut remaining Dreamcast and Saturn support

Apr 2nd 2007 1:35PM (Joystiq)
In the U.S., for quite some time Sega has contracted with sega-parts.com for system repair. They replaced my Dreamcast just last year (with a unit that looked brand new!). I wonder if this Sega Japan announcement will affect sega-parts.com at all...their website doesn't seem to have any announcement along these lines.

Poll: so ... how about that GameCube?

Feb 10th 2007 1:40AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
My vote isn't exactly accurate -- I _already_ sold my GameCube for cash monies months ago, since I knew the Wii was coming. I held on to my Game Boy Player, though -- unless something similar comes out specifically for Wii, I might pick up a GameCube again some day so I can play Metroid Fusion on the big screen.

And now ... the Wiimote lawsuit

Yeah, I just wanted to leave a comment from my Wii too. First non-homophobic Opera comment!

Wii component cables online now, in stores Dec 5 [update 2]

Nov 15th 2006 7:36PM (Joystiq)
I did a Froogle search a while back and discovered that several retailers seemed to be expecting to get Pelican brand Wii component cables for about 20 bucks. I don't have official confirmation on this or anything, but something to keep an eye out for.
