You are 100% correct. The biggest difference the reason this is a problem is that the UAE wants constant control and ability to alway see what the person is doing on their blackberry. They want to be able to play "big brother" for lack of better words, for which RIM is saying no.
Where did you hear that? Everything I read is that it's still $15 a month, as this doesn't make sense....especially for the PC version where the is no PSN+.
No, not at all. The clients of BB devices choose them for the corporate email access and its QWERTY keyboard. Thus them making an OS operating on a touchscreen is new for them (not counting storms as they were just the regular OS with touch slapped on). So like I said before this OS is essentially starting fresh.
1.) Some of you guys are complaining about the fact it is all touchscreen based. Please do a little research with regards to this. The OS will appear on the 9800 which is a slider phone that is both QWERTY and touchscreen.
2.) When Apple added multitasking most people here went nuts, but now you guys are knocking on BB saying welcome to the club.
3.)You guys are forgetting that iOS and Android were and still are based on touchscreen phones while BB was QWERTY based.
These operating systems are all completely different and for a reason. They cater to different people. Think of this as when Apple first entered the market. Originally the iPhone couldn't do MMS, video, multitasking, etc... While the iOS looks flashier you forget it has 4 years to grow, thus once RIM gets the ball rolling with a stable and working OS that delivers what their clients need, they can work on ui refinements.
