I played the original Sands of Time for PS2 back when it came out. I've never own a PS2 personally, but a friend had one.

I would really like an explanation as to how the diagonal body-colored bars that run through the lower grille are a result of crash standards. I've never seen another automaker with a similar design brought about by these standards...

Let's face it, it was an aesthetic design decision.

I'm inclined to agree with IBx1, though. The bars take away from the cleanliness of the design and the high-mounted tails of the 2nd-gen Euro Focus look much cleaner as well.
