Because, of course, "...the demographic of the DS is very much focused on kids..." according to GAME. Does anyone know any sales data on DS Fat/Lite and PSP in the UK? I get the feeling the PSP is in front here.

Jun 21st 2006 8:52AM (Joystiq)As for the resale price, you can get some pretty good deals, and it's basically exactly the same product: it's not like the Koopas will be too tired out to play second time round.

May 23rd 2006 8:22AM (Joystiq)Personally, I'm comparing with the Wii, so that's (most likely) a $400 price difference.
I'm pretty much part of Sony's target market (27, gamer since 8, reasonable disposable income, own a PS2). I just can't see what that $400 gives me. It's still the same poor controller, I didn't see any memorable games in the E3 coverage, I won't really care about Blu-ray for 5 years or so. $400 is 10-15 games for my PS2/GC/DS or Wii when I buy it.

May 23rd 2006 7:49AM (Joystiq)I'm happy that you are so rich that $600 (£425 for me) is so little money to you. For the majority of us with rent, student loans, house repairs etc. to pay, it's a lot of money that I would rather spend on many other things.
Apart from anything else, the price of the console is pure overhead, I'd rather spend the money on games.
