Sdatcher radio drama begins, swag for sale at TGS
Sep 2nd 2011 12:01PM (Joystiq)If anything, Sdatcher is a past game rather than a future game, since it's a radio drama adaptation of an adventure game made a decade or two ago.
Apparently Kojima teased a whole bunch of Snatcher stuff years back, and this is either what that has become or just the start of it. Something like that. They mention a bit about this on Warning A Huge Podcast.
XSEED hosting a Corpse Party on PSP this fall
Sep 1st 2011 6:23PM (Joystiq)Yes, they have. See the second last paragraph in the press release attached to the article.
@Nymph
Very good point. Perhaps we'll continue to see new/newly localised PSP games for a while yet. Aksys's comment on discounting the PSP being foolish makes more sense to me now, although I'm not sure if they completely realised why - not only will the PSP install base not vanish, the install base of the PSP, or at least PSP-game-playable systems will grow.

Sep 1st 2011 4:30PM (Joystiq)Devil May Cry trailer and screens show off Ninja Theory's spin
Aug 16th 2011 3:53PM (Joystiq)Ironically, the original Devil May Cry was slower than this. It's only with the sequels, which completely changed what Devil May Cry represented, that the games became about fast-paced crazy combos.
So the combat here isn't particularly slow (and it's not such a big deal even if it is a little slow; the original is still great because it's the most challenging in the series and has far more variety in enemies and their attacks). What worries me is that 1) it looks pretty easy to pull off those combos and 2) the enemies seem to be complete fodder. Enemies were significantly fodderised in the sequels to Devil May Cry, but I'm worried that this might take it further.
