Hacked Xbox 360 firmware prevents banning

May 31st 2007 10:14AM (Engadget)
Wow, don't people have enough things to hack that doesn't affect other people? Sure you might want a bigger harddrive or quieter DVD drive, but this just goes to support all the a44holes out there that glitch/cheat in multiplayer games.

That is why Microsoft doesn't want people to mod/hack. It's because you affect other people when you do it.

New content goes Live for Bullet Witch, Test Drive Unlimited

May 14th 2007 11:19AM (Joystiq)
I'm so glad they still make content for one of the first games out. Test Drive is tons of fun online.

Too bad my 360 bricked last night. #3 here I come!

Rumor: Double Dragon on XBLA next week

May 4th 2007 8:48AM (Joystiq)
I don't like the super clean look. But it doesn't matter, I'm not into games I already own on the systems they once came out on.

But I'm 28 and grew up when games were golden.

Blowing on the DS sucks (or: the huff-and-puff games)

Apr 11th 2007 2:43PM (Joystiq)
Yoshi Touch and Go had it first.

If you drew clouds that didn't end up working out for you, you could blow them away. Worked pretty well in quiet areas. I thought it was pretty smart.

This is perfect.

I bought my wife some noise canceling headphones to go with her macbook and iPod. Now she can use them basically wirelessly.

Come on imports!

Game Over Project turns Pole Position into art

Not Pole Position so much as it is Night Driver for the 2600.

Armored Core 4 demo now Live

Apr 3rd 2007 1:36PM (Joystiq)
I've never played an Armored Core game before.

I wasn't really impressed. It's not so much like the mech game I was expecting, but more like a Star Fox shooter with changeable weapons.

And I don't really like the speed of the game. With a big as robot, I want something that has weight to it. A mech game if you will.

This game seems like a genre gap filler. Mechs and shooters.

How do you decide what games to buy?

Mar 16th 2007 3:03PM (Joystiq)
In the reviews, I look for those few special tidbits of info that make me feel that the game is different and brings new gameplay to the table.

Whether it's features of the game, storyline, setting...it has to be something new and different.

That's mostly why I don't play sports games. In the end, your still playing football or baseball. You can never improve the game, just hope to make it closer to the real thing. That's what was so good about NBA Jam and Blitz.

Did I just get off topic?
