A lot of you are missing the point about why everyone is so angry. It isn't just the price increase for non-paying players. The game was designed and promoted with a simple but effective premise that made it different from other online micro transaction games. That was- there is no way for players to 'buy an advantage' in game. All money purchases were for clothing and accessories to enhance the look of your character. You could not buy a better weapon or better abilities, etc. Now that has changed and you CAN buy better weapons and widgets that give a player a very distinct advantage. Not only did they allow that, but the pricing structure for those using 'in game money' or VP points has skyrocketed so high, it is nearly impossible to afford anything at all. This amounts to 'Punishment' of those who choose not to pay. That core value change is why everyone is so angry.
