They should really being doing this all access style and not just EQ2. All SOE games free to play with that plan would be great. we'll see how it works out though.

Isn't there a emitter thing that lets you control the turrets too? I coulda swore I read that.

I saw it yesterday but the way they described it, it seems like you HAVE to play it multiplayer only. Since it's a free game, that can only mean 1 thing. People worse than xbox chocolate milkshake kids will swarm to it.

graphics quality have been stagnant for at least 5 years (or since XBOX 360 came out). I don't think PC's will be pushing graphics for a long time since consoles dominate the market. Meaning most games are console ports, so they have to be able to run off of that old hardware. I see another 5 years of this exact graphic setting. At least until then next consoles come out then the graphics improve.

I just bought the id software pack which includes all the quakes, (i don't remember seeing IV in there, but I still have that disc arounf if I wanted to play it). All the dooms including some mission packs.Hexen, wolfenstien (even though I still have the return to castle disc and you can play multiplayer free). I think my steam games list just pushed past 100.

just tried the game again since I read this article... yup everyones still awping and I still can't effing stand it. I even shouted like I was 13 all over again.
