Aside from the fact that Gamespot can't review a game to save their collective lives (see: Black & White), I'm really disturbed at the fact that no one saw anything wrong with that sentence from their review. It makes no sense. Tetris has plenty of gameplay modes and great online play, but... the online play sucks and doesn't have a lot of gameplay modes?
You know, when I first read about this, it was very funny. There's a lot of humor in events like this to keep it fresh for a while, but not enough to base an entire episode of the Daily Show on. They ran that joke so far into the ground it practically came out the other end. I mean, yeah, he's Cheney, but just how much fun CAN you make about something like this?
I'm not political at all, so don't even start with the typical labeling bull, but this really is a testament to how ravenous liberal media has become about this administration. I hate all those guys too, but damn, this was seriously like watching starving dogs jump all over a piece of fresh meat and fight over it.
Most American games do not appeal to Japanese gamers for simple reasons: the games they make (the games most casual gamers enjoy and those that sell the best) completely differ from the interest of the typical Japanese gamer. As good as a game like Hulk: Ultimate Destruction or COD2 or Madden '0X or Grand Theft Auto 9 might be, these are not the games that Japanese people enjoy and probably will never enjoy. As far as I can remember, sports games, aside from soccer, and war games were made strictly by American developers, or released primarily in America by International developers.
If the 360 wants any shot at doing remotely well in Japan, they need to look at the types of games that are selling there, and it's certainly not what the 360 already has in DROVES (aside from racing games.)
Mod as in casemodding. I agree, it should have been clarified, but I don't think any of us lost seconds off our life when we mistakenly thought that the DS was able to play Super Famicom games and found out it was merely a (admittedly kickass) casemod. I mean, come on.
Holy crap. I don't want any of this shit. I just want to play games online, with all the essentials (being a USB keyboard) and not lose brain cells trying to do it or set it up.
I'm tired of this online gaming pissing contest. Xbox owns the online console market? As much as the DS owns the Wifi gaming market. This doesn't mean something else can come along and take that title.
The way it looks now, I'm going to be happier with the online service Nintendo will provide with the Revolution. If it's anything like what they've done with the DS, sans the absence of a centralized server, and none of this extraneous bullshit that Sony and MS are constantly piling on, I'll be a happy camper. I don't need 3 goddamn "media centers."

Mario Sunshine 2D Flash game
Jan 3rd 2006 1:34PM (Joystiq)I'm not sure how having a sprite that resembles mario that can float and shoot water make it a 2d version of Mario Sunshine.
