The iMac received an intel chip yesterday too - and it didn't change its outward appearance. I think Apple is simply taking delibrately slow steps in the transition from IBM to Intel. Things are early - they aren't truly ready yet. I believe that once the entire product line runs intel next year, and Rosetta is no longer necessary, we will see the 2nd generation of MacBook Pro with a fabulous new design courtesy of J. Ive.
