This is coming from someone who's made mostly single player, offline games...

While agree, a game should ship ready to go without any day 1 updates, shit happens. Also, we have the technology, and most day 1 updates (for me on the Xbox 360) take seconds to install and boot back to the game. Online games like CoD, WoW, and other massive, multiplayer competitive games constantly tweak/fix their game.

Actually, I would like to see games update more. BUT... make the download hidden. Have your system download and install it at night automatically when the update goes live.

And yes, we need to be able to boot right back into a saved games (no logos, no title screens). Get me back in the game and I'll pay your company more (by buying more of your games).
