Matchmaking that actually works!

If COD4 had any of those features, it would be awesome. Until then, Halo 3 takes the MP innovation cake...

Netflix wants service on your console

I was just about to cancel my Netflix service because I don't use it as much as XBL Marketplace. If this were to happen, I'd not only keep my service, but I'd be willing to pay more for it! Please oh please I hope this happens!

Requirement: DVD and HD quality please :)

Would love this setup, but will love Halo 3 just as much regardless of this sweet setup.

PS3 named best 'media center' by European org.

I'm pretty sure there are plenty of ways to use Media Connect from other platforms. I know for sure you can stream content from a Mac to a 360.

You may not have 100% of the functionality you get when using a Windows PC, but I'm not going to harp on MS for providing a premium experience when combining their device with their platform. In fact, I'd expect it to work best on their platform first.

Ideally, all platforms would have just as feature rich of an experience, but you have to make tradeoffs in software. A watered down, platform agnostice service? Or a feature rich, platform specific service. Hmm... am I talking about Sony vs Microsoft or Microsoft vs Apple?

An "all-in-one TV entertainment center" that can't actually record or playback TV.

Wow. Great. I think I'll stick with my 360 as a Media Center Extender.

Livingrooms are not designed for servers. They're designed for client devices connecting to servers.

PS3 to receive tuner, DVR capabilities before March 2008

IMHO, game consoles are meant to be an extenstion of your media, not a media server. I think Microsoft's strategy of using the 360 as a media center extender makes much more sense. I don't want to have to leave my console running all the time in order to record TV. PC's, sitting in an office or a closet somewhere are much better suited for this type of thing.I'm also not much of a fan for the 360 IPTV thing.
Actually, I think it would be really cool if they could do it without actually storing anything on the HDD locally. Rather, everything should just live in the cloud so when I want to go watch the latest American Idol it can just stream it down live instead of having to record it to my console first. Let the big companies invest in server side storage so every customer doesn't have to invest in hard drives locally.
