UK's Channel 4 finds new reality TV trend in The Sims 3

Why the f*** did I just watch this?

Kojima the producer open to MGS remake, Kojima the creator not so much

Dec 26th 2011 7:38PM (Joystiq)
When I heard that there wouldn't be a MGS1 HD I was initially disappointed. However, I then bought the original on PSN and realised that it doesn't need re-doing. Kojima is right, if it were to be done it would have to be a total remake and if you did that it wouldn't be MGS1. Sure, it has the same story but that's not all MGS1 is. MGS1 was made for that time, that hardware. You wouldn't be able to recreate that, even the PSN version doesn't do it justice.

I see quick-time events ahead.

I'm from the UK and stayed up until 1am to watch the VGA's. When they got to the 5th ad break and still only had given out one award I gave up and went to bed.

My 6 year old nephew loves Minecraft AND Lego. He will go insane when he hears this.

Hitman: Absolution goes on a tour of the Chicago Public Library, shoots it up

I don't know whether to be madly excited or slightly sceptical. The depth of the NPC's was just amazing. It will be interesting if you get that kind of depth throughout the game, and if you get it if you did that mission in a different way. I'm hoping it is consistent, as the NPC's were one of the biggest problems in the previous games imo.

Onlive launches in UK, offers cheap games and other deals

I'm still surprised this didn't enter the realm of vaporware.

Battlefield 3 beta system requirements

Sep 21st 2011 12:55PM (Joystiq)
Well, I'm not getting it then. I have an OCD thing where I have to have graphics on the highest setting. I know medium will probably be better than most games I play, but I will just HAVE to play it on the highest setting.

Xbox TV launching this holiday season

Bing isn't going to add anything we haven't seen befor, but Kinect could. I seem to remember some ideas they had about using Kinect to detect how the user reacts to what they're watching to see if they liked it or not, then using that to feed users new content. Like TiVo but using real human emotions, rather than a thumbs up or thumbs down. Whether or not this is actually being implemented into this new "XBox TV" service is hard to tell, the extent of Kinect integration hasn't been fully revealed. Living in the UK, I hope some of this reaches Sky Go, finding new content can be painful at times on there.
