To whoever is managing UO these days: With the success of the EQ progression server, why aren't you trying something similar? Can I please play ANY version of your game before someone came up with the brilliant idea to put ninjas into a fantasy MMO?

Ya I'm hoping for a big announcement as well. Last year was lacking in that department.

Favorite game is one I quit playing long ago but... Player housing in UO. Getting to loot someone else's house because they thought it was a good idea to keep a key AND a rune to the house in their bag.

Sony avoids the chance that a disastrous precedent is set.

I can't believe that some people here think Sony won this one. If a mega-corporation settles with a small-time defendant like this it's because they're worried about the outcome of the case. GeoHotz couldn't "give" Sony anything -- what Sony wanted was a precedent that would deter people from messing around with Sony products. This is Sony going out with a whimper.

Hard to go somewhere else when a service provider holds a de facto monopoly in your area.

Also, your own website has reported on providers throttling back on known bandwith hogs like WoW. You can't just "pay the price" because throttling isn't the same as capping.
