Making more games is NOT tantamount to being a BETTER developer. Going by this logic Treyarch blows studios Valve, Bungie, and Insomniac out of the water.
I'm not saying it won't be fun (hell, I bought the last 3 CoDs so I'll probably buy this one, too) only that Modern Warfare spoiled me on the possibilities of what battle in the near future can be like, and it's just aesthetically and viscerally more interesting. Not bashing the mechanics (CoD's is amongst the best) only displaying my disappointment that I have to wait an extra year before I can fight in the present again. I mean really, Band of Brothers is gonna sweep the WWII shooters this fall and I have a feeling Treyarch might not be able to match it.
The problem with CoD3 was that it wasn't as good as CoD2, which is a bad thing for a sequel to be. The reason IW's so beloved is that they made a huge leap forward every CoD game they've developed while Treyarch just took a sidestep to the left and one back.
