"... if they have 1080 or even 720 output (because remember, 720p is 1280x720, which I would consider on the low end of definately playable. 1080p is 1920x1080, which is excellent resolution even for a computer setup).."
1366x720 is 720p
Running a display at 1920x1080 on a pc is not very common unless you have the greatest and most recent hardware.
I have a Standard def TV with a 4:3 aspect ratio. If the games are in wide screen 16:9 , I hope there is an option to change the aspect ratio or have the games available in wide screen and full screen formats. I don't want to see black bars at the top and bottom of the screen :
$249.99 is a bit higher than I expected. I think it should have been at most $229.99 --$100 more than the DS. Now it is only $50 less than the 'core' Xbox360. hmmm...
My guess is that the DS lite will be $129.99 US, and the Original DS will drop to $99.98 US so that Nintendo can clear out remaining inventory and make room for Wii.
I think the name change to "Wii" is a bloody bad decission. I may even feel a bit awkward to go into a store such as BestBuy and ask for a "Wii". Hey do you have any "Wii's in stock ?". It sounds plain retarted.
