I'd like every single hater out there to outline exactly how putting a Scion badge on this car will somehow reduce its quality or performance potential. I think it's a great idea! Scion could use a boost to its image and this is being marketed as an inexpensive, simple sports car, that has Scion written all over it.

It is just you Carlos. Not that I have anything against Ford, they have a fantastic lineup these days, but GM is ultra competitive in every segment and beat the Mustang to the gate with a fuel efficient direct injected V6, it initially won the horsepower and speed wars (before the mighty 5.0) and still has the upper hand in overall sales in regards to Camaro VS Mustang.
As an aside, I've said since day one that the Camaro needs to go on a diet, especially with the new 5.0 Mustang around

Never mind flagrant protectionism, this means there will be less cars available for us to import! Any Canadian Autoblog readers out there ought to do any auto imports they have planned soon because I just can't stomach the idea of an R32 GT-R or old school STI getting rendered into scrap...
