@33, Vlad is a Microsoft shill. He worked there and he will work there when he completes his econs 101 MBA. Any responsible news organisation would require their journalists to at least disclose such affliations in each posts that deals with a competitors product - but then again Joystiq bloggers aren't real journalists anyway. Vlad has proved many times how he can spin good news into bad news (Nintendo making a profit with Wii is bad based on his economics logic, PS3 competition) if it isn't a Microsoft product.

Personally I am not offended by it (even though I am Chinese with NO slint eyes), but understand that some may be. Hell, it is only human nature. You can't expect everyone to toe the line?

That is why I think VC should have chosen his words more carefully. But then again I >HATE< VC ever since the whole 'profits are wrong' fiasco and since his stupid and pretentious graphs started popping up. So I think Joystiq should 'let him go'.

He can settle for his dream job at MS HQ promoting their bloated ware.

It is the stereotype that pisses people off. Not all Asians have slint eyes. It is an outdated view that is offensive. Just like calling all Germans Nazi is offensive to them or calling all Americans obese may be offensive to some of you lot.

Respectable? Joystiq? Never has been since VC came back from his Microsoft stint. I am sure that was where he learnt his (lack of) manners and his bigoted views.

BTW, I know Orientals who has big round eyes. So whoever said that Asians all have thin eyes are dumb fucks. This is why this stereotype is so outdated.

Joystiq loves VC. All his posts are pretty stupid, yet it creates traffic - something Joystiq loves to point out to their advertisers. This Microsoft shill, remember, is the guy who attempted to sell us the idea that making profit is a bad thing (as though MS doesn't want to make a profit).
