I'd hit that...

That was soooo enjoyable to watch! How refreshingly candid this whole piece was. It makes it easy to recognize how pristine, processed, and 'on point' most promotional videos are for video games. More of this, less of that, please!

Why "cart"? Isn't it always "kart"?

Club Nintendo card case is worth the fake money

I have a large and ever growing video game collection and I have spent a lot of time considering good storage solutions for my games. I am always trying to balance my storage needs with accessability. I have lots of original Gameboy games (almost all in the original plastic cases), and just a few Gameboy Color games so this is how I store them (a bit low res, sorry):

I say it's imperfect because accessability suffers somewhat. Because of the design of the game cartridges, you can't see what the games are. They are also stacked, so games on the bottom are more difficult to access; and they fit in so perfectly that it is hard to get your fingers around a game on the bottom to pull it out.

I don't know how many games you have but it fits 66 Gameboy games in cases, maybe more if they are out of the cases. Mine is holding 60 games, the Game Boy camera, Pokemon Pinball with rumble, and a Gameshark pro.

This is a product called 'Really Useful Box'. They have a website and are sold at office supply stores and maybe hobby stores. This one is the 3 Liter size. When I can, I am going to try out the 1.75 Liter size to see if I can turn this into two separate 'trays' of games.

*SHAMELESS SELF PROMOTION TO ANYONE*

I am selling a few odds and ends from my video game collection on ebay right now including a few different Gameboy Advance game cases and Nintendo DS cases that hold 16 and 20 games. If anyone is interested you can check me out.

Those 32 game Gameboy advance cases are highly sought after and hard to come by. I have one and need another one to, but I'm on a budget. This guy sold two on ebay recently (he used the same picture though):

I have an imperfect solution to my Gameboy/color storage too. Reply if you want a pic.

Man ransoming unreleased Resident Evil GBC prototype ROMs to the Internet

I don't know how I feel about the $2000, but I hope he doesn't get shut down. I want to check out this rom.

Would it be any different if he were selling the physical cartridges for $2000 to someone he knew would rip them for the emulation community? And the community leader took up a collection to acquire the cartridges, would it still be extortion?

I'm not sure...

Editorial: 'I'm tired of saving the world'

I generally agree with the sentiment of the article and I'm gonna make a cross media comparison. The first season of 24 was completely compelling to me and it wasn't a huge national/global crisis. ONE guy was going to be assassinated and TWO members of Jack's family were kidnapped...That's it. That's the whole season. And it was the best television ever.

But then the writers couldn't help themselves and went bigger and bigger. I thought that for the final season, Jack was going to have to fight an asteroid or an alien invasion or something.

It's still one of my favorite shows, ever, but the first season was so personal and yet so compelling.
