But didn't the can of embryos only contain enough coolant to last 36 hours, which is why Nedry was in such a hurry to get it to the guy on the boat? The embryos would be effectively useless if they weren't kept refrigerated. I seem to remember that, having watched the movie a couple dozen times.

This is exactly the same mechanic used in the under-appreciated classic gem "Metal Storm" for the NES.

Thanks for the clarification. I see that Activision closed down RedOctane this February. Too bad, I liked their guitar controllers better than those packaged with Rock Band. Clicky strum bars are a subject of debate but I suppose that it's a matter of personal preference.

Perhaps the casual market drove sales of music games and that casual audience is making financial cutbacks thanks to the lousy economy. For a member of the casual audience, when financial cutbacks need to be made, video games are one of the first things to go. Wii sales are down compared to last year as well. Music games might be down even more than other areas of the casual sector because the casual audience doesn't appreciate the subtle additions that Harmonix has made with each iteration of its franchises. "Why should I spend $60 on Rock Band 3 when I already have Guitar Hero 2?". I agree with those who blame Activision as well. Of course, Harmonix could have decided to retire the Guitar Hero name rather than selling it to Activision so they are partially to blame.

I thought that the Keyboard Bundle would not be available for the PS3...

@Obienator No SNES games that use the Super FX or Super FX 2 chips have been released for the virtual console. We're still waiting for Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island as well.

No virtual console love again this week.
