So...how are those micro-transactions working for ya, EA?

Portabliss: Groove Coaster (iOS)

Plays very well and looks great on both iPhone and iPad. It's easy enough to pick up on Easy levels and becomes quite challenging on Normal and Hard. If you like rhythm games, it's definitely worth picking up.

PSP UMD games could be re-released on NGP game cards

Re-releasing these games so you can play with dual analogs isn't going to work. That would require the developer to tweak, and possibly, rewrite a ton of code. I don't see that happening with older games that aren't going to make the money to justify the cost.

Ok...um...that's useless.

OnLive launch titles 'in the teens,' 50-60 games by 2011

$14.95/month + cost of the games?

To play a AAA title for 6 months, I’m going to pay $60 for the game and $14.95/month for 6 months, for grand total of $150. Are they crazy? What if I cancel my subscription? Do they send me a physical copy of the game?

They need to negotiate a fixed cost per month model with the publishers, that gives us access to the entire library. People who are already buying these games have rigs (or are willing to update them) to play them. They are going after the market for people who can’t afford to update their PCs. I don’t see how this model is going to work. It’s way too expensive.

Dragon Age DLC has earned over $1 million

Nov 13th 2009 11:13AM (Joystiq)
Because it, unfortunately, is like buying gas. You gripe about the high prices, but you still have to buy it. Don't give me the whole "If you don't want it, don't buy it". To expand the in-game storage space is a no-brainer. It should have been included in the original game. Becoming encumbered and destroying items because you have no where to put them was a horrible design flaw. Oh wait, it wasn't a design flaw, let's just move that critical piece of the game to DLC!
