Mar 11th 2010 11:11AM (Joystiq)To play a AAA title for 6 months, I’m going to pay $60 for the game and $14.95/month for 6 months, for grand total of $150. Are they crazy? What if I cancel my subscription? Do they send me a physical copy of the game?
They need to negotiate a fixed cost per month model with the publishers, that gives us access to the entire library. People who are already buying these games have rigs (or are willing to update them) to play them. They are going after the market for people who can’t afford to update their PCs. I don’t see how this model is going to work. It’s way too expensive.
