If you like the ME series, you might want to try that team's older work, Knights of the Old Republic. Just substitute Mass Effect universe for Star Wars. It's got their trademark characters with actual personalities.

I'd love to read a post-mortem on this game on Gamasutra on why poor scheduling and bad prioritization (e.g. kinect, multiplayer) led the game to slip its release date and then ship with poor quality (too many severe bugs).

This is a case of politicians not doing their job. If they were, they might be led to ask the question, "Oh wait, are we even allowed to do this?" or failing that, "Oh wait, should we be doing this?"

Can't tell which is worse, the ME3 ending or the incessant, petulant whining about ME3 ending?

I had super low expectations for multiplayer in this game but it's fun.

This game has been out for less than 2 weeks, so people who managed to finish the game soon enough to provide feedback are in a special class of people.

Yeah, pretty much this. It's even worse when you consider Minecraft is a clone of Infiminer, which was written in C#/XNA. Which is arguable more modern and a better framework for games.
