Dark Side 'Cause It Looks Cool: The Failings of Moral Choice in Games
Feb 10th 2012 10:01PM (Joystiq)The fact that I even GET to make a choice is awesome, but knowing that a black choice will have a black result gets boring. I want consequences dammit! I want to save a person and have somebody who hated them attack me, or I want to recover the antidote from the bandits to save the town I'm in, only to later find out they were selling the antidote to a DIFFERENT town (a town I totally would have liked more), which consequently died as a result of my actions.
Yoshida: The Last Guardian still happening, but progress 'slow'
Feb 10th 2012 1:29PM (Joystiq)Well I can tell you that the first step in this protest would be getting over our depression. After that I'm not sure protesting would be the best thing to expose ourselves to, seeing as how it could potentially spark that depression again.

Feb 10th 2012 10:21AM (Joystiq)I think it's pretty well agreed upon that it's now just called DOTA. MOBA is usually just an acronym for the type of game it is (Bloodline Champions being another game in the genre, one that actually kind of fits the genre description better I think).

Feb 10th 2012 10:18AM (Joystiq)Though I haven't heard anything about this game being sold at retail stores.

Feb 10th 2012 10:15AM (Joystiq)I don't think the titles association has anything to do with where it should end up. The guy who MADE DOTA is working at Valve on DOTA 2, and the way I see it... If anybody should get "ownership" of that title, it should be who made it. Not whoever owns the game you played it in.
