Oho~ I agree wholeheartedly. However, I think that is a very good thing. Personally, I have a blast playing DDR, Guitar Hero and the Wii. Really fun stuff, IMO.

By the way mate, not all of us decide which games to play by what makes us look cool, believe it or not. Yea, playing DDR makes you look like a moron, but I actually got my girlfriend to play it the other night and we had a great time :)

This guy is nuts. Obviously, he's not a christian, as the very word "christian" means "little Christ". This means that all christians should be or aspire to be like Christ. Jack Thompson is, at least from what I've seen, about as for from a Christ-like attitude as one can get. Christ taught forgiveness, not to seek vengeance through quoting scripture of all things. As a christian, I'm appalled, really.

Eh...I'm rather inclined to go with the people that are throwing accusations at VC of altering his roomies' quotes...Some of the things this guy is saying really don't make any sense, and he contradicts himself multiple times.
Just curious, but for a hardcore gamer, doesn't this guy have a great amount of knowledge concerning Duck Hunt and the Zapper?
Referring to Duck Hunt, he says, "It was a hook to bring people in, but nobody used it. It was very gimmicky."
I fail to understand how someone who isn't a hardcore gamer knows this.
Perhaps I am merely overlooking the reason for this?

Call me on this if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Wii have more launch titles than the PS3 or than the Xbox 360 did?

Plus, considering that developing games for the Wii is much easier than for other systems, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the Wii had the biggest game library rather than the smallest.

1. Define "kiddie game" for me.

2. I highly doubt that the Wii will have more kiddie games then all the other systems "combinded". Whatever "combinded" is supposed to mean.

3. The Wii is the least powerful system this generation. Agreed. The Wii is less powerful then some systems last generation? Thats BS buddy. The Wii has better specs than the Xbox, which was the most powerful system last gen, so please don't flap your mouth about stuff you know nothing about or at least look up the facts first.

I'd have to say I disagree. Nintendo, and the Wii, is for people who play video games for enjoyment. I, for one, like to have fun with the games I play, and therefore I will be purchasing a Wii (and Zelda) and launch day. Somehow, I think that there are a heck of a lot of people who are going to do the exact same thing.

Microsoft fanboy on one side, Sony fanboy on the other, both flaming what is arguably the greatest video game franchise ever created. Wonder if either of them have ever played a Zelda game?

...I'm actually fairly impressed with this.
I mean, overlooking the fact that it is rather disturbing, the musical composition is quite good. For an amateur, I mean.

Moving on, why is it that quite a few of you seem to believe that Nintendo is only for either freaks or pre-pubescent children? I'm 18, and I play video games for enjoyment. If I enjoy Grand Theft Auto, then I play Grand Theft Auto. But if I happen to enjoy a Mario game, does that make me a freak? Is it so wrong to have fun with a game that isn't rated mature?

Ugh...hurry up TP.
