@FinalFantasyXIIIsucks EA and Adidas have teamed up to announce that they now own the exclusive rights to "shoes."

Responding to criticism that people who want to cover their feet with other shoes that are of much better quality--such as those formerly made Nike, New Balance, and Allen Edmonds--now have no other alternative, an EA representative says there are plenty of other foot coverings on the marketplace with which they compete, such as sandals, flip-flops, and newspapers tied together with string.

@NJNets It's a hypermarket chain of stores found largely in the Great Lakes area (MI, IN, IL, OH, and KY), but it looks like you can take advantage of some of those deals online as well.

While this is highly commendable, and while I'm very much looking forward to this car, I was holding out hope for a sporty model, and if they're all going to hit 40 MPG it sounds like a go-faster variant would be a bit of a tall order. Hopefully they can put a turbo on it and still get 40 or more.

My dad's got a less-flashy '73 Cutlass 4-door with the 350 Rocket and bench seats. Seeing that video review made me smile.

Amen. It would be great to see something bigger come out of this beyond just the marketing stunt.

The commercial is awesome, but the voiceover at the end kinda ruins it. It's always better to show rather than tell. The visuals and the soundtrack are perfect and get the point across. The voiceover beats you over the head with the message in case you didn't get it, and is unnecessary.

My dad used to have a '93 Ranger extended cab that I borrowed to buy a few pieces of furniture and move into my then-new apartment. It was a pretty basic truck...RWD, crank windows, crap aftermarket radio, broken A/C, 4-banger and a stick shift, but it was fun to drive. I'd love to have a truck like that as a second vehicle but I don't haul enough stuff around to justify owning one, and pretty soon neither could my dad. Though it ran well, he sold it off a few years ago. It was a good little truck.
